"Americans Demonstrating in America "
By Jose Reyes March 23, 2003
The beauty of the American government is "The Bill of Rights". This famous document gives the right and the freedom, to any American, to peacefully demonstrate and protest against any government policy. This right is freedom in its essence and I love it! Prior to the start of the war a number of Americans exercised this right by protesting our military involvement in Iraq. These people were able to protest and exercise this right.
Alright, they exercised their rights to demonstrate and took the streets. Unfortunately for them, our government continued on and now we're engaged in war. Que cojone are these people doing demonstrating after the war has started? This is not Vietnam, the American soldiers who are fighting for all Americans in Iraq now, were not drafted! That's the reason Americans protested the Vietnam War. Right or wrong, whatever anybody feels of our involvement in Iraq, we must support our troops 100% all the way, "To the End of Time"! These brave young men represent all of America. "Quen son estos come mierdas", with their stupid signs and stupid chants, what are they thinking? They should be protesting against France, Germany, Russia, and all the other countries demonstrating and calling Americans "Killers". Remember when they call George W. Bush a killer they are, in turn, calling Americans killers. Ok, one could say these American demonstrators are just very liberal, I say they are very Anti-American. What really disturbs me more is that the majority of them were born in this country and were raised up in this system. Now that there is a high alert on terrorism in this country , especially in New York City, they have to deploy hundreds of policemen with riot gear! Meanwhile the chance of an act of terror increases and the lack of manpower increases also. These demonstrators should go to France and throw their signs and bottles at the French demonstrators. All I got to say to these demonstrators, American or Non-Americans, is "Love it or Leave It"!
