Is SARS Under Control?
By Jose Reyes 7/1/03
The Chinese government is celebrating the triumph and defeat of SARS. Since June 15, the WHO (World Health Organization), has not reported any new cases of SARS around the World. Now after 16 days, the Chinese Government is bragging and acknowledging a total overthrow of this incredibly contagious disease, I say, "Que Paquete!". Only one month ago the WHO was warning the world of an early winter in China and how SARS would be emerging again to terrorize everyone, especially China. I think, because of economical reasons, the Chinese are taking drastic measures and campaigning a lot of Mierda! The Chinese government is under pressure and is experiencing an economical collapse. I'm sure the WHO understands this and are giving them some positive propaganda to relieve the tension. Total domination of the disease is totally ridiculous and is totally an irresponsible action to take for the WHO! I also wonder if they yet outlawed all the eateries from serving the Civet Cat and the Raccoon Dog, to their "gourmet" patrons. Staying away from China and the Far East would be the right action to take, for the rest of the World until a vaccine is produced or no other cases of SARS is reported for at least 2 years.
"Don't look now, another Virus Epidemic"
Encephalitis B is now the current virus attacking China's Guangdang province. As of June 27 there has been 296 official cases, 28 deaths and another 48 suspected cases of this mosquito transported virus. Encephalitis B is commonly found in rice-growing and pig-farming rural areas of Asia. This virus attacks the brain causing inflammation and also attacks the spinal cord. There is a vaccine available for this virus which was created in the 70"s. The Chinese government is also claiming total control of this "small" epidemic. These are human beings dieing here. Sometimes I get the notion that there is some kind of conspiracy occurring here because of the overpopulation state of this cultured enriched country. God bless China!
