"Morality and Freedom"
By José Reyes 3/27/2006
With a loud joyful cry we are born into this world and proudly accepted as a
true individual with our own character, with the capability
and human freedom to
express ourselves. This God-given gift we inherit gives us the ability to
communicate with others and share our thoughts and concerns with them. As we
grow we are faced with many different ideals that can influence us in a positive
way but also in a negative way. This is a normal stage of developing our minds,
its a mental process which deals with "judgment". This is where
morality enters into the picture. Morality is very simple to
understand in
definition but could be camouflaged in many different ways to a point where it
contradicts its own meaning. Where society draws the line is when the word
morality intersects and enters into the realm of insanity. If an individual
cannot judge what is sane and what is insane because of his moral interpretation
then he or she must be separated from the
general populous for protective reasons. This is important to understand when
you see what is going on in Cuba right now and for the last 47 years. Fidel
Castro has crossed this line and has gone insane. He has indoctrinated his evil insane
ideals into the minds of the Cuban people but the Cuban people are trying to
cross back to the sane. They are realizing that there is no morality in the
world of Castro, everything is fake, everything is unreal and ridiculously
untrue. The rest of his followers are just puppets, their minds have not
developed yet, they were halted when there freedom was taken away from them, but
they still have a chance, unless they have murdered for an immoral reason, then
they are doomed.
At the present
moment, we have a historical situation going on in Cuba, where a
"Psychologist" turned Journalist, Guillermo
Fariñas
Hernández,
has chosen to express his opinion about the Castro regime and was arrested for
using the Internet. In Cuba, for those who are not well informed, if you are
caught using the Internet for personal expression on another website, for
example, this website, you are breaking the law and you will be punished with
jail time. Cubans in Cuba are allowed to surf but only could browse the
government websites where you could express yourself, but be careful what you
say because you "will" end up in jail also. So that means and we can
come to the conclusion that in Cuba no one is allowed to express a
"negative" thought of the Castro regime, so there is truly no freedom
of speech. Mr. Guillermo
Fariñas Hernández is on a hunger strike right now as I write this article and
has been on a hunger strike for the last 57 days. We need and by "We",
I mean the world needs to support him, after all he is just trying to express
himself. He is sacrificing his life so we can all express our opinions, where do
you stand on this issue? If you reject his painful efforts, then you have
crossed the line also?
